Join a collaborative, clinician-led team at North Mississippi Medical Center, a 650-bed regional referral center serving 24 counties across North Mississippi, plus parts of Tennessee and Northwest Alabama. This program offers strong support, predictable scheduling, and meaningful time off while providing high-impact care for women when they need it most.

Position Highlights

• Competitive compensation (guaranteed shifts / hourly rate)
• FTE: 5–7 (24-hour) shifts per month
• Flexible scheduling with guaranteed shifts
• Work/life balance: 20+ days off per month (about 21 days off on average)
• No on-call duty
• No administrative/office management responsibilities

A Day in the Life

As an OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalist, you will:

• Provide emergent care for all pregnant patients who present, regardless of circumstance
• Support community OB/GYNs with coverage and assistance
• Care for unassigned patients
• Evaluate and treat OB triage and ED consults
• Monitor labor and manage obstetric emergencies
• Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections (and surgical assists as needed)
• Evaluate and treat postpartum patients
• Partner closely with nursing and hospital teams; provide education and support

• NICU
• 3 operating rooms
• 2 dedicated C-section rooms
• Private LDRP rooms (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum)
