MedStar Health is one of the most active advanced heart failure programs in the country with a team that spans Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Southern Maryland. The team consists of 5 advanced heart failure cardiologists whose primary base is in Baltimore and 9 advanced heart failure cardiologists in Washington, DC and southern Maryland. We are seeking an advanced heart failure cardiologist to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Union Memorial serves as MedStar’s cardiovascular hub in Baltimore with advanced cardiac imaging, robust intervention and structural heart capabilities, advanced electrophysiology services, and cardiac surgery. With the exception of surgical and post-operative care of transplant and LVAD recipients, the advanced heart failure team in Baltimore takes care of a full spectrum of heart failure (Stage C and D), LVAD care (inpatient and outpatient), heart transplant recipients, infiltrative disease, pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, etc. This role would include equal inpatient coverage with 4 other partners at MedStar Union Memorial including equal call (1:5). The role also includes the outpatient clinic in Baltimore, including rotation through the VAD clinic. Clinical time may be available at the primary LVAD/transplant implant center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. There is an option to take the Monday off after covering a weekend as well. Opportunities for involvement in research and education of trainees is available. Position Requirements:
- Fellowship training in mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant care
- Board-eligible/board-certified in Cardiovascular disease and Advanced Heart Failure
- Management of the full spectrum of heart failure
- Superior training and interpersonal skills

This position has a hiring range of
USD $300,000.00 - USD $541,000.00 /Yr.

Compensation Details
$300-541k
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
