Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:
- Quality vs. quantity – typically see 14 to 16 patients per day (30 min per visit)
- Instead of RVU or volume metrics, our providers are measured and rewarded on quality of care
- Solid clinical support team that includes RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust IT
- Collaborate with our primary care physicians (IM & FM), hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialists
Required Qualifications:
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board or the ability to obtain prior to employment
- Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
- Ability to be comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
- Driver’s License, access to reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Proven working understanding and support of a managed care environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
