Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of nine EM board-certified physicians and three Advanced Practice providers at Samaritan Healthcare.
- We are a level III trauma center with an annual ED volume of 25,000. We have a great relationship with the hospitalist service and support from general surgery, OB/GYN, radiology, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, GI, and tele neurology.
- Work alongside our team of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/Board-eligible Physician Assistant with recent acute care experience
- Due to the high acuity of patients and autonomy of the role ED experience is required

- Advanced Practice Provider shifts are 2p-2a and will work with three physicians on their shifts of 7a-7p, 10a-10p, and 7p-7a.
Key Responsibilities:
- APPs see patients independently and have good support from physicians (a physician will always be on staff during their shift). APPs see all patients in the ED, however physicians manage the sickest patients.
- Great collaboration among physicians with APPs. Physicians lean on APP staff to run the department while physicians see the most critical patients.
