SCP Health is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team at OhioHealth Emergency Care – Ashland. This brand-new freestanding emergency department offers a true 24-hour shift model with low volume and high-quality care.

Patient Volume: ~8,000 annually

Specialties: Emergency Medicine

Coverage Model: 24/7 Physician-only coverage

Number of Beds: 8 treatment rooms + resuscitation room

Acuity: Low–Moderate

EMR: Epic

Procedures: Moderate sedation, full emergency procedures

ICU: N/A – Freestanding ED

Admissions/Transfers: Stabilize and transfer as needed

Fellowship/Residency: EM Residency within 24 months or 1,000 ED hours/year past 24 months

Moonlighting: Locums eligible

ICP Site: N/A

Tele Coverage: False

Qualifications

Education: MD/DO

Licensure: Ohio eligible

Board Certification: ABEM / ABFM / ABIM

Experience: BC/BE Emergency Medicine (Residents not accepted)

Skills & Procedures: Moderate sedation required

Badges: ATLS required (ABEM once minimum, ABFM/ABIM ACLS + ATLS)

Benefits & Compensation

Guaranteed Hourly Compensation: $205/hour (all shifts)

Estimated Annual Earnings: $295,200 based on 1,440 hours (~60 twenty-four-hour shifts)
