The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is recruiting a Hematology/Oncology Staff Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for Veterans with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions while teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. This role combines direct clinical care, academic engagement, and opportunities for leadership within an interdisciplinary team in a major regional medical hub.

Position highlights

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care for adult and older adult Veterans, including those with complex, multi-symptomatic conditions.
  • Maintain clinical privileges in Hematology and Oncology, with timely and accurate completion of electronic medical record documentation.
  • Develop and update individualized care plans and help shape standards of care for the service.
  • Teach and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.
  • Participate in committees, quality improvement initiatives, and serve as acting section chief when requested.

Work schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, typically 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
