The Edward B. Singleton Department of Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital is recruiting a full-time, BC or BE, pediatric body radiologist. The North Austin Campus, the new state of the art 60-bed children’s and women’s hospital that opened in February 2024, provides a full scope of care for both pediatric and women’s services. 

Texas Children’s Hospital, listed on the Best children’s Hospitals 2024-2025 honor roll by the U.S. News & World Report survey, is the largest children’s hospital system in the USA with 959 licensed beds.  Between Austin, College Station, and Houston, care is provided in more than 100 locations.   

Approximately 300,000 imaging studies and procedures are performed at Texas Children’s annually.  It is a dynamic and rapidly growing environment with high-end technology that meets the needs of a wide range of patients, including some of the most complex in the nation, who are referred for super-specialized care. Texas Children’s Hospital and the Department of Radiology are committed to the tripartite mission of leading academic institutions: clinical care, teaching and research.   

Position Highlights:  

 Join our nationally recognized team of Radiology specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical- physician in Pediatric Body Radiology to provide care at our Austin, Texas location.   

  • Highly competitive compensation model: Base salary + annual performance bonus + annual base salary merit increases.  
  • Voluntary option for paid remote weekend shifts. 
  • No required overnight call (new EC division with 6 dedicated faculty covering evening and overnight call shifts, 7 days/week and 365 days/year). 
  • Academic faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine. 
  • 100% clinical pediatric position, with option to actively participate in academic opportunities.  
  • Pediatric Body Imaging only (no neuro, no IR) with exposure to all aspects of pediatric care; and dedicated faculty covering subspecialty focus areas of MSK, Cardiac, and Fetal.  Additional subspecialty expertise, especially MSK and Cardiac, are welcome. 
  • Hybrid balance of on-site and at-home rotations.    

Qualifications:    

  • Applicants must have an M.D., or D.O. or equivalent degree and be BC/BE Fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology.  
  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
