Preceptor Opportunity for Pediatricians in the Kansas City Metro Area (within an hour of Kansas City, KS)!

About the Role: Join AMOpportunities (AMO) as a preceptor and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals! AMO partners with schools and medical trainees worldwide to provide high-quality clinical rotations in Pediatrics, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and more.

We are seeking board-certified MDs or DOs practicing Pediatrics in the Kansas City Metro area to host students in your practice. As a preceptor, you will have the flexibility to tailor the experience to your practice’s needs and schedule while mentoring and inspiring future Physicians. AMO handles all marketing, application collection, clinical trainee support, and administrative logistics so you can focus on teaching and mentoring.

💡 Note: This is a contracted position, with preceptors earning stipends upon successful completion of a trainee's program.

Preceptor Responsibilities:

• Precept a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Facilitate clinical learning through patient interactions, observation, didactic sessions, case presentations, and/or research.
• Ensure patient-related activities are supervised and meet AMO’s professional standards.
• Complete and submit required documents (evaluations, forms, and affiliation agreements).
• Customize the program to integrate seamlessly with your practice's workflow and availability.
• Ensure all observation or hands-on activities involving patients are supervised.
• Respond promptly to requests and school documentation (affiliations, evaluations, forms, etc.).
• Ensure school affiliation agreements can be signed by an authorized signatory.
• Adhere to AMO and its school partners’ standards of professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physician.
• Board-certified in Pediatrics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to guide and mentor medical trainees with professionalism.

Compensation:

• Stipends start at $500/week per Medical Student.
