Full-Time Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist

Join a well-established cardiology team in Iowa for a full-time locum tenens assignment offering a flexible schedule, supportive environment, and comprehensive procedural scope. Ideal for interventional cardiologists looking to balance outpatient clinic work with inpatient procedures and call coverage.

Assignment Details: Procedures/Case Types: Requirements:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed (60-day timeframe)
• Clinic Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Call Coverage:
• Weekdays: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM (next day)
• Weekends: Friday 8:00 AM – Monday 8:00 AM
• Estimated Call-Back: 4–6 hours per weekday (varies), 1–2 call-ins per 24-hour weekend period
• General and Interventional call coverage required
• Clinic Volume: 12–15 patients/day
• Inpatient/Rounding Consults: 5–10 per day
• Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
• Angioplasty & Stenting
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Cardioversions
• Stress Echo & Nuclear Stress Tests
• Reading Echo, Holter & Event Monitors
• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Iowa License preferred, but IMLC accepted
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Must be able to cover both interventional and general cardiology call
