Palliative Care NP Post-Graduate Fellow Opportunity – Banner Medical Group

Banner Health is seeking a dynamic Nurse Practitioner Post-Graduate Fellow to assist in providing Palliative Care. Our Nurse Practitioner Fellow will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including a lead physician, nurse practitioner and social worker, managing patients. Qualified candidate must be detail-oriented, a good communicator, and dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations.

Our Nurse Practitioner Fellow will be passionate about this type of specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. Our Provider will be involved in clinical management of patients, leading serious discussions with patients and their families about their pain management, complex symptom control, and providing consultations regarding goals of care and advance care planning.

Work Schedule:

Full Time | No Call

Program: 18 Months - Rotations will be at various Banner Health Facilities throughout the valley with partnership with Hospice of the Valley.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current/Eligible Fellow (AGACNP/ACNP/FNP) Certification and Arizona License
• Current CPR and BLS
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
• Patient care experience preferred in Palliative, Hospice, Geriatrics, or End-of-Life Care
• Excellent communication and team skills and ready to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team
