Urgent Locum Diagnostic Radiologist Needed in Cleveland Oho (Onsite)

Cleveland, OH

full-time
Inpatient and outpatient

Key Responsibilities: Schedule Details: Case Mix & Volume: Procedures (Optional but Preferred): Qualifications: Why Join Us?

We are seeking a General Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team on a flexible, contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general diagnostic imaging and be comfortable reading a high-volume, diverse case mix. While light procedures are preferred, they are not required for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for radiologists seeking schedule flexibility, variety in casework, and a no-call position. We offer a supportive workflow model with the autonomy to tailor your shifts to suit mutual availability.

  • Interpret a wide range of general imaging studies:
  • Required: CT (including unenhanced head, C-spine, level II trauma), Ultrasound (including 1st trimester), and X-rays
  • Preferred: Abdominal MRI, fluoroscopic exams
  • Note: No mammography, neuro subspecialty, nuclear medicine, or MSK MRI (unless fellowship-trained)
  • Provide timely and accurate reads for inpatient, outpatient, and STAT studies
  • Maintain a fair workflow by reading old-to-new to avoid cherry-picking
  • Participate in procedures if qualified, such as CT/US-guided biopsies, abscess drainages, and chest tubes (Not required)
  • Minimum Commitment: 1 week per month (M–F)
  • Shift Options: 7:00–4:00, 7:30–4:30, 8:00–5:00, or 8:30–5:30
  • Flexible scheduling: We will work with you to find a mutually agreeable shift pattern
  • Primarily inpatient and outpatient studies, occasional STAT list support
  • Approx. 60–100 cases/day, depending on modality and procedures
  • Target: ~50% cross-sectional imaging (if not performing procedures)
  • CT/US-guided procedures such as:
  • Abscess drainages
  • Biopsies
  • Chest tubes
  • Thyroid FNAs
  • Fluoroscopy is a plus, but not mandatory
  • APP support available for LPs, paracentesis, thoracentesis
  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training is a plus (especially for subspecialty reads or MSK MRI)
  • Comfortable with a high-volume, varied case mix
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to ethical workflow practices
  • No Call – Maintain work-life balance
  • Flexible Scheduling – Choose shifts that suit your lifestyle
  • Supportive Environment – Work with a fair and efficient reading model
  • Option to Extend – Potential for contract renewal
