  • Medical Director opportunity with mentorship from the outgoing physician leader during the transition
  • ED features 2 trauma bays and 9 treatment rooms, plus helipad access for emergent transfers
  • On-site resources include 24/7 lab and radiology (CT/X-ray), with specialty support available (anesthesia, surgery, OB, hospitalist, and more)

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts with consistent blocks: 6a–6p and 6p–6a
  • Typical coverage model averages about 145 shifts per physician annually
  • Flexible scheduling approach built around provider preferences and team collaboration
  • Hospitalists admit all ED patients, helping you stay focused on emergency care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $420,000 for 145 shifts, with additional shifts available for higher income
  • $75,000 retention bonus. $25,000 paid at the completion of each year in the initial 3-year contract term.
  • $10,000 relocation assistance
  • $7,500 CME allowance
  • Malpractice coverage and 401(k) with matching contributions

Candidate Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Preference for physicians finishing residency in 2025–2026 or those with relevant post-training experience
  • Comfort practicing in a rural ED setting with broad acuity and strong independent decision-making
  • Interest in clinical leadership, quality initiatives, and ED operations (policy, metrics, peer review)

Community & Location Highlights

  • Mid-sized regional hub setting serving a primary population of 30,000+ along I-94.
  • Outdoor recreation is a major draw—great fit if you enjoy wide-open spaces and four-season activities
  • Local housing options are available, with relocation timing supported by an established onboarding process
