Description

Bassett Medical Center is a regional trauma center located in Cooperstown, New York. It is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching hospital that also offers 24-hour emergency and trauma care, critical care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties.

 

Job Description & Responsibilities

·         Join an established group of 2 Surgeons and 1 Advanced Practice Clinician.   

·         Responsibilities include clinic where you will see new and established patients, post-op visits, telemedicine, floor management of post-op patients, and first assisting in the OR.

·         No Neurosurgery call – General Surgical call is optional

·         The Neurosurgery team- Bassett Medical Center has a strong relationship with the University of Rochester Medical Center and Columbia University for teaching, education, and resident involvement.

·         Previous surgical experience preferred but not essential

·         Salary Range: $142,809 -$186,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, starting with competitive base pay which includes recognition for your experience, education, training and licensure. On call is not a requirement, however if you decide to opt-in, there is potential for additional compensation.

·         Sign-on Bonus up to $75,000.00

·         Hours include but not limited to: Clinic hours typically run from 8:00-4:30, and OR days are variable with two-to-three occurrences per week.

 

Job Qualifications

·         National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

·         NYS Licensure

·         BLS Certification Required

·         DEA Required
