Our mission—to train residents to become leaders in academic psychiatry—leverages Mount Sinai’s culture of flexibility. Mount Sinai has a wealth of raw materials that residents fashion into unique experiences, and we encourage residents to pick a “major” or sub-specialization. For a program to encourage brilliance, residents should have the support and freedom to innovate, in both our clinical and research tracks.
