Summary

• I am a surgical specialist in general orthopaedic surgery with an emphasis on hip, knee, and shoulder joint replacement surgery (including anterior approach total hip replacement and partial knee replacement). I also perform arthroscopic surgery of the knee (including meniscus surgery and ACL reconstruction), shoulder (including rotator cuff), and ankle. Additionally, I see many patients for sports injuries and fracture care (i.e. breaks of the legs, arms, hands and feet).
  
  My approach is to help improve patients' function and pain with measures other than surgery. However, if surgery provides the best chance for improvement in pain and function, then I enjoy having a thorough discussion of expected benefits, possible risks, and other options so that the patient and I can make an educated decision together as a team.
  
  I have had a current and active Wisconsin medical license since 2013. I have full general orthopaedic surgery privileges to perform operations at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin in Glendale (http://www.ohow.com), Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee (http://www.columbia-stmarys.org), and Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon.
  
  About me:
  I grew up in Stevens Point, WI and attended Pacelli High School. I took great pride playing for their football team and competing in the state golf championship. My higher education began at St. John's University (Collegeville, MN) where I obtained majors in both Biology and Spanish. For medical school, I returned to the great Badger State to attend UW-Madison. Finally, for residency, the Medical College of Wisconsin provided me with 5 years of outstanding training. In my personal life, I enjoy traveling and seeing new perspectives. I've been privileged to attend medical trips to Peru and Nicaragua, as well as study in Guatemala for 5 months while living with a host family. That being said, I love living in Wisconsin and very much enjoy its seasons, activities, and sports. Go Pack Go!
