Your Role:
- Deliver urgent surgical care to patients presenting with acute conditions such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, bowel obstruction, trauma, and more.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, APPs, and nurses to deliver timely and coordinated care.
- Utilize both open and minimally invasive techniques across a broad range of complex surgical conditions.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives aligned with RRH's system goals and shared values.
- Support the development of the upcoming General Surgery Residency by engaging in education and mentorship of residents and medical students.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the academic growth of the department through teaching and collaboration.
What You Bring:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery, or Trauma is ideal **but not required**
- Minimum 3 years of independent Emergency General Surgery experience in a hospital setting required
- NYS Medical License (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex surgical emergencies
- Passion for patient-centered, team-based care
- Strong communication skills and clinical judgment under pressure

Compensation Details
$400-500k
What We Offer: * Guaranteed Salary with Sign-On Bonus and Incentives * Defined Benefit Pension Plan * Full Malpractice Coverage, including tail * Relocation Package fully covered, corporate package * Comprehensive Benefits Package – Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO * Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligibility * Dedicated OR Block Time for emergency general surgery * Academic Involvement in General Surgery Residency (launching within 2 years) * Supportive Practice Culture that values well-being, quality of life, and surgical fulfillment PAY RANGE: $400,000.00 - $500,000.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
