    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and board-certified Internal Medicine Physician to build our hospitalist team. This full-time, frontline provider will oversee patient care across the hospital’s acute care setting, including medical, surgical, ICU, and emergency cases, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions of hospitalized patients.
    • Provide comprehensive medical care for patients in the ED (staffed 24/7 by APPs), ICU, and Med/Surg units.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
    • Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
    • Provide consultation to primary care physicians and specialists as needed.
    • Support hospital processes including code response, rapid response, and emergency procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABMS and AOA)
    • Valid Kansas Medical License and DEA License
    • Proven experience in hospital medicine, critical care, and emergency medicine preferred
    • Strong clinical skills and ability to manage a diverse patient population
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Full-time, employed position (7 days on – 7 days off or 14 days on – 14 days off)
    • Shift coverage includes day, evening, weekend and call coverage
    • On-call responsibilities as needed
