Summary
- Dr. Das is a neurointensivist whose research interests involve understanding how small vessel diseases of the brain contribute to ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage. Dr. Das received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and then completed his medical internship at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He then transitioned to neurology residency at the Harvard Partners Neurology Residency Program, where he developed a clinical interest in stroke and cerebrovascular disease. Following his residency training, Dr. Das pursued a fellowship in critical care neurology through the Harvard Neurocritical Care Fellowship.
In addition to his clinical time in the BIDMC Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Das conducts research in ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke under the mentorship of Dr. Edip Gurol, an international expert in cerebral small vessel disease.
