Overview of Dr. Su
Dr. Alvin Su is a fellowship trained sports medicine surgeon and pediatric orthopedic surgeon; a scientist passionate about translational orthopedic research. His clinical & surgical expertise includes arthroscopy of the hip, knee, shoulder, ankle and elbow; ACL/other ligamentous reconstructions, cartilage repair; surgical management of OCD (OsteoChondritis Dissecans), hip impingement syndrome including labral repair, shoulder, elbow, patella and ankle instability, and pediatric fractures. He also has particular interests in martial arts motion analysis and injury prevention & treatment. His ultimate career goal is to promote the physical and mental health of the youth, by synergizing the merits that he learned from the East and the West -- as an academic orthopedic surgeon, a father of two young children, a Taiwanese native and an amateur martial artist.
