Summary

• Dr Garcia is Director of Health Information and Community Engagement at Maryville Addiction Treatment Center and engages their residential and outpatient programs and external partners to build collaborative, sustainable relationships, and marketing for physician offices, OBATs, OTPs, hospitals, physician residency programs, public schools, universities, and the criminal justice system.
  
  Dr Garcia graduated from University of the Sciences (now St Joseph’s University) with a B.S. in Biology, earned her Doctorate of Medicine at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School, completed her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center and fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia. She has a deep interest in well-being, spirituality, recovery, and burnout prevention.
  
  Dr Garcia’s recovery journey began in 2013. In 2022, she returned to medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed a physician refresher/re-entry program to return to clinical practice. She is a member of the Professional Assistance Program of New Jersey, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine. Dr Garcia is dedicated to physician education, ending stigma, and serving those with substance use disorders.
