    Research Interests: Humoral and cellular immune responses (adaptive immunity) to organisms causing neglected tropical infectious diseases including Plasmodium (malaria), Leptospira, Mycobacteria, Burkholderia psuedomallei (melioidosis) through novel techniques.

    Clinical Interests: The application of microbiology by trainees in the setting of improving infection outcomes at large academic medical centers. The identification and prevention of noscomial infections and epidemic phenomenon within large academic medical centers. Neglected tropical diseases and travel medicine. Primary and secondary immunodeficiencies.
