  • The Ertan Digestive Disease Center/Gastroenterology Center of Excellence comprise a fully integrated program-based model by experienced/academic gastroenterologists and hepatologists aimed at optimizing patient care, postgraduate education and clinical research in all digestive diseases in the Texas Medical Center. The Ertan Center would integrate an academic structure with a prominent private GI practice as a leading referral site in the TMC for complex digestive diseases from local, national and international physicians on a tertiary care basis. Dr. Ertan has a special interest & expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, microscopic colitides; biliary/pancreatic benign & malignant diseases; Barrett's esophagus with dysplasia and early cancer plus these patients' need for various advanced endoscopic diagnostic/therapeutic modalities. The Ertan Center will also have various subcenters such as; * GERD/Barrett's Esophagus; *Inflammatory Bowel Diseases; * GI Motility & Physiology; *Biliary-Pancreas Disorders; * Advanced GI Diagnostic & Therapeutic Endoscopy; * Bariatric Gastroenterology; * Hepatology; * Gastroenterology & Hepatology Outcomes; *Liver & pancreas transplantation; * Advanced GI, Biliary-Pancreas Surgery.
