  With decades of experience as a physician, in 2021 I stepped away from direct patient care to expand my impact through myMDadvocate, a virtual consultation and advocacy platform that serves as a bridge between patients and the often-complex healthcare system. As a physician consultant, healthcare navigator, and medical advocate, I help people with everything from referral advocacy and chronic condition management, to aging gracefully and supporting caregivers through their most challenging moments.

  My passion for helping women through life transitions led to the creation of MenopauseMenu, a comprehensive online resource offering evidence-based information and holistic support for peri/menopause and beyond. I love to wrangle three active blogs with timely posts, helpful videos & podcasts, and tasty recipes.

  These experiences collectively formed the foundation for my 2023 book, “The Menopause Menu”—an all-in-one giftbook, medical guide, and recipe book that transforms medical complexity into accessible wisdom.

  I write about the intersection of medicine and art, science and humanity, and with individual stories and universal truths. My newsletter The 2 Susans keeps me focused on timely topics accompanied by a writing partner colleague. I contribute to online and print news formats with excerpts, interviews, essays and book chapters.

  My newest adventure is Voices With Vigor, a live, virtual talk show. Inspired by great conversationalists like Terry Gross of Fresh Air and the beloved Magliozzi brothers of Car Talk, this free series brings together extraordinary voices for intimate, unscripted conversations. Each month, I welcome guests from diverse backgrounds who share common threads of curiosity, kindness, dedication, and resilience.
