- Conor Delaney MD MCh PhD FRCSI FACS FASCRS, is CEO and President for the Cleveland Clinic Florida Region since October 2020. He oversees a system of five hospitals, a cutting-edge research center (Florida Research and Innovation Center) and numerous outpatient centers throughout South-East Florida. With approximately 10,000 employees, the Florida Region cares for approximately 540,000 patient visits and 14,500 hospital admissions per year.
Until 2020, Dr. Delaney served as Chairman of the Digestive Disease and Surgery Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Delaney serves on the administrative committees of many national and international professional societies, serves on the editorial board of eight international journals, and is past-President of the International Society of Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery and the Midwest Surgical Association, and Vice-President of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Delaney has given over 450 invited lectures nationally and internationally, has published 15 books and published more than 400 manuscripts in scientific journals on topics relating to surgical education, colorectal cancer surgery, laparoscopic colorectal surgery and peri-operative care and cost-efficiency for colorectal and intestinal surgery.
