Summary

  • I am a Vestibular and Ocular Motor Neurologist and Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I evaluate and treat patients with neurologic causes of dizziness and/or eye movement abnormalities. My research interests include developing vestibular and ocular motor examination and tests, and using those techniques to advance early detection of neurodegenerative diseases including but not limited to Spinocerebellar Ataxias, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and Multiple System Atrophy. My passion is to teach clinicians, researchers, fellows, residents, students, and anyone else about the neurology of eye movements and the vestibular system, and I am happy to do so in my clinic, at the bedside in the hospital, and in classroom settings (both didactic lectures and hands-on workshops).

I am Board-Certified in Adult Neurology, I completed my fellowship training in Vestibular and Ocular Motor Oto-Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and I completed my internship and neurology residency training here at Emory where I was awarded the "Best Resident Clinician Award" in my graduating class, among other awards.

Outside of academia, I enjoy traveling with my wife, playing with my dogs, playing music (guitar and mandolin), mountain biking, woodworking, homebrewing, and more. I am a do-it-yourself tinkerer and maker, and you may see some of my own personally-made examination and teaching tools in my clinic!
