  • Dr. Snodgrass is a board certified internist who graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas in 1984 and then completed an internship and residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, where he went on to serve as Chief Medical Resident. He provided primary care services as an internal medicine practitioner from 1986 until 2013. He served as assistant director for the Internal Medicine Residency training program at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center from 1991-2008 and was a Clinical Instructor at Washington University School of Medicine. He has been a long-standing member of the American College of Physicians and was selected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) by the College in 1998.

    Administrative experience while in St. Louis included a 6-year stint as medical director of St. John's Mercy 120 bed Skilled Nursing Center and a 3-year stint as Chief of General Internal Medicine at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. He was the physician founder and from 2005-2008 the first medical director of the Palliative Care Service at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center (now known as Mercy Clinic) in suburban St. Louis. From September 2013-November 2017 he was the Medical Director for the Hospitalist Program at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings Nebraska, where he also served as the chairperson of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and as the chair of the CME committee for Mary Lanning Healthcare. He recently served as chairman for the Department of Internal Medicine at Mary Lanning Healthcare and from July 2017 through November 2017 was the CMO at that institution.
    Since that time having been doing locums work throughout Nebraska.
