Summary

  • I am working as a Medical Resident in Internal Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center (WHMC) in Brooklyn. NY, (expected graduation June 2024). Pasionated on Metabolic diseases, thyroid, and diabetes. Previously I worked as a House Officer physician of Obstetrics and Gynecology at WHMC focusing on nutrition and women's metabolism, and published "Adverse Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes in a Hispanic Population With Excessive Gestational Weight Gain". My responsibilities include diagnosing and administering general medical treatment to patients at the department within the hospital as well as at the hospital’s clinic extension. Prior to joining WHMC, I worked as a Research Fellow at the Cardiovascular Division at Boston Children’s Hospital. I was involved in multiple projects focusing on mitochondrial Metabolism and transplantation as a method of cardio and pulmonary protection. The overall goal of my projects was to demonstrate the efficacy of mitochondrial Metabolic and transplantation as a potential treatment for cardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury in small and large animal models. I have published multiple articles in that field during that time. Following that experience, I transferred to the Center for Resuscitation Science at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) as a Clinical Research Fellow. At the end of that experience, I authored a research paper that was sent for publication in the Diabetic Journal, a paper focusing on DKA-improved cellular respiration with Thiamine and Coenzyme Q10.
I graduated from San Marcos University in Lima-Peru and worked as a staff physician at the Dos De Mayo hospital in Lima Peru. In 2016 I immigrated to the United States and consequently completed the USMLE step examinations. During that time, I participated in “Principles and Practice of Clinical Research”, at the Harvard School of Public Health.
