Summary

  • I am a board certified neurologist and vascular neurologist, clinician-educator, and clinician-scientist. I was appointed Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM) in Colton, California on June 1st, 2018. My professional activity is focused on administration, including supervision and implementation of all clinical, education and research activities, faculty recruitment and retention and expansion of clinical services of the Department of Neurology, clinical care, and teaching of medical students and residents. Forty percent of my time is spent on administration and Department development; 20% on teaching of medical students and residents, and CUSM Neurology Clerkship Director; and 40% on clinical care at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), the primary teaching hospital of CUSM in Colton, California, where I also served as Neurologist in Chief. By means of my work as a neurologist and vascular neurologist, and as a member of ARMC Stroke Center, I contribute with ARMC’s high performance in neurology. Teaching and working with medical students and residents while attending patients is personally important, and provides the most valuable ideas for development of clinical, education and research programs.
