Steve Roach, MD is a professor of neurology at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School in Austin, TX, where he serves as Associate Chair for Operations of the Department of Neurology, Assistant Dean for Faculty Academic Affairs, and Co-Chief of the pediatric neuroscience program. He has written of edited ten textbooks and contributed over 200 journal articles, commentaries, chapters, and editorials, most of which focus on cerebrovascular disorders of children and young adults or on genetic disorders of the nervous system. Dr. Roach is a past-president of the Child Neurology Society and the founding editor of the Annals of the Child Neurology Society. He has received numerous honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Neurological Society, the Hower Award from the Child Neurology Society, the Gomez Award from the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, and membership in both the Sue Cox Academy of Distinguished Educators at Dell Medical School and the Kenneth I. Shine Academy of Educators of the University of Texas System.
