Dr Abbasi is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
In the past she acted as Chairperson of the Presidential Task Force for Alternate Payment Models as well as the AASM Advisor to the RUC (Relative Value Scale Update Committee). She attended and represented the AASM at the quarterly AMA RUC meetings.
Dr. Abbasi practiced in NC for 20 years but relocated to Fort Myers, Florida in 2019. She has been recognized for her excellence in patient care by her peers and patients. For several years, she was voted the “Top Doctor” in the Charlotte region.
