He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Fellowship Trained in Joint Reconstruction from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Buechel is an internationally renowned expert in Partial Knee Replacement & Total Knee Replacement using the Mako Robotic System, and has performed over 2,000 Mako™ Robotic Partial Knee procedures on the medial and lateral sides, in the USA and internationally.
Dr. Buechel has performed Mako™ Robotic knee & hip procedures in the USA, Asia, Australia, and Europe and has trained more than a thousand surgeons on Mako™ Robotic surgery.
