Summary

  • Named as Chief Medical Officer at Sera Prognostics, currently a privately held company that has developed the innovative PreTRM blood test: the only diagnostic that has been developed through the IOM's rigorous guidelines for discovery, verification & validation. PreTRM objectively assesses a mother's individual risk of premature birth, and received state regulatory approval across the entire U.S., the first and only analytic of its type to do so.
As CMO, main responsibility is for completion of national and international clinical research projects to marry outcomes with the validated analytic. Secondarily, assist the R&D and commercial teams with implementation of utilization strategies and development of further clinically relevant diagnostics that will be useful to the practicing community. Most importantly, I maintain clinical relationships with practicing colleagues and oversight organizations to assist in their comprehension of Sera's analytics, and work with them to develop clinically responsible strategies for utilization.
Additionally, have been named adjunct professor for the University of Utah Health science center Dept of Ob/Gyn. I participate in dept activities including academic lectures, journal club discussions, and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
