- J. Grey Faulkenberry, MD, MPH is a physician based in Atlanta, GA, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Clinical Informatics. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine, where he works as an inpatient hospitalist. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Master of Public Health from the University of Miami, where he also completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency and served as Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in Clinical Informatics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Faulkenberry's work spans clinical medicine, global health, and health informatics. He directs FHIR-FLI, an open-source initiative connecting Flutter applications to FHIR healthcare data standards, and has authored several widely-used Dart/Flutter FHIR libraries. His global health informatics work includes projects in Botswana, Uganda, and Ghana focused on clinical data flow, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, and data quality in resource-limited settings. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Global Health Informatics Program at CHOP. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations to his credit, and volunteers with Physicians for Human Rights conducting evaluations for asylum seekers.
