• I am a Board certified Psychiatrist, licensed in New York State, with over 30 years of experience. I have had a private practice in Larchmont, NY since 2016. I was also, a private practitioner, working at two Montefiore Medical groups from April 2008-December 2022. Prior to that, I worked as a Psychiatrist for HIP for many years from 1990 to April 2008, first at a Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic and then at two medical group sites. I enjoyed working as a Psychiatrist in a medical setting, collaborating with primary care physicians, where there is an interface between Psychiatry and Medicine.
  I am gratified when, with a medication trial or adjustments in medications, I can help bring about positive changes in patients' lives. When I start a patient on medication, with the goal of resolving troubling symptoms, I start with a low dose and taper up gradually in order to try to avoid uncomfortable side effects.
  I do thorough initial evaluations & make individualized treatment plans with each patient. My emphasis is on medication treatment & supportive psychotherapy.
