Dr. Maria Tulpan is a caring and attentive endocrinologist with 20+ years of clinical experience with the NYU Langone Health system, Faculty Group Practice, located in midtown east (New York City). She received her medical degree from "Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie Carol Davila" in Bucharest, Romania, and completed her residency at Jacobi Medical Center, New York. She attended Yale University for a two-year fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, where she was involved with research on Type I diabetes. She is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism.
Dr. Tulpan's specialties include issues related to diabetes and metabolism, such as thyroid disease, obesity and weight loss, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, osteoporosis, sexual dysfunction, PCOS and infertility. She performs thyroid ultrasound at the office and draws blood at the time of the visit.
Dr. Tulpan takes pride in her individualized care of each patient and places great emphasis on nutrition and a healthy lifestyle as a complement to appropriate medical treatment.
