  • Voted Favorite Urologist in McAllen by The Monitor, Dr. Michael Seiba is a leader in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Endourologic surgery. Included in his medical school clerkship history is time spent at both The John’s Hopkins Hospital and Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Seiba received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. His medical degree was earned at The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. He then completed his residency in urology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After completing formal training in urologic surgery, Dr. Seiba went on to further sub-specialize in Laparoscopy & Endourologic Surgery at The New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell University where he earned his fellowship. While at Cornell University Medical Center, Dr. Seiba published some of the AUA Update Series, an elite national monthly periodical used for educating urologists. Additionally, he co-authored other publications on urologic disease. He also participated in teaching formal American Urologic Association courses on hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery.
    Apart from his academic accomplishments, Dr. Seiba is a board-certified by the American Board of Urology (ABU). He is also an active member in several professional associations: The American Urologic Association, The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, The Society of Endourology, The South Central Section of the American Urologic Association, and The Texas Medical Association.
    Dr. Seiba initially established his urology clinic in McAllen but has since relocated to Edinburg. Dr. Seiba has treated patients from various cities throughout the Rio Grande Valley including: Edinburg, McAllen, Mission, and Pharr.
    Among the diseases treated by Dr. Seiba are prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and a variety of male and female urologic conditions.
