  • Dr. Michael W. Yeh is a Professor of Surgery and Medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.

    Dr. Yeh attended Stanford University and Harvard Medical School. Thereafter, he completed general surgery training at the University of California San Francisco and a fellowship in endocrine surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He has spent the past 18 years developing UCLA Endocrine Surgery into a world-class program for patient care, research, and education. An NIH-funded investigator, Dr. Yeh has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles that have been cited more than 8000 times (2023 h-index 48).

    Dr. Yeh has held leadership positions within both the medical school and health enterprise at UCLA, including Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Medical Director of Optimal Care, and Surgical Representative on the Operative Services Leadership Triad. He serves on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network thyroid cancer guidelines panel and served on the Fifth International Workshop on the Evaluation and Management of Primary Hyperparathyroidism. Dr. Yeh has held national leadership roles within the American Thyroid Association as well as executive roles within the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. He is most proud of his many successful mentees and his two college-age sons.
