- Dr. Murat Sadic is a ABNM Board-eligible academic nuclear medicine physician, currently serving as an Acting Instructor and PET/CT Fellow at the Division of Nuclear Medicine, University of Washington, until June 2024. He will take on a new role as an Associate Professor and Faculty Member within the same division by July 2024. He earned his medical degree (MD) and completed his Nuclear Medicine training (equivalent to a PhD) in Turkey. Subsequently, he served as an Attending/Faculty at one of Turkey's most prestigious institutions. In 2015, he worked as a Research Fellow at UPENN, Department of Radiology, Quantitative Medical Imaging in the USA. Following that, he earned a 'Postdoc Fellow degree' in Nuclear Therapies and Theranostic applications at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. With all these experiences, he embarked on a transformative journey in the United States in 2021, where he furthered his training by completing an additional residency in Nuclear Medicine from July 2021 to July 2023 and also served as a Chief Resident at the Division of Nuclear Medicine, University of Washington.
Dr. Sadic's remarkable achievements include being honored with the 'Young Scientific Research Award of the Year' in Turkey in both 2014 and 2016. His contributions to the field have earned him awards and recognition from esteemed professional organizations. His projects have garnered awards and honors from national and international organizations.
His main area of interests are Theranostic-Individual Nuclear Therapy applications, Molecular and Oncologic PET/CT imaging with specific interests in cancer imaging, Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Sadic is well-versed in all general Nuclear Medicine studies/techniques, Nuclear Cardiology, PET/CT modalities, as well as various therapies and theranostic applications. He has authored and co-authored over 100 scholarly articles, book chapters, projects, and scientific abstracts.
