  • Dr. Nathan Carroll, DO (2021), MBA (2019), MPH (2024), is a first-generation resident psychiatrist at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Additionally, he is an American Psychiatric Association National Leadership Fellow for 2023 – 2025. Dr. Carroll graduated in 2006 from William Paterson with a degree in philosophy and then worked as a family counselor with Family Preservation Services. During this time, he became deeply familiar with the numerous barriers to psychiatric care which his families faced. As a result, he was inspired to embark on the path to medicine, juggling pre-medical classes with full-time employment before being accepted to Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016.

    Nathan’s work and commentary have been featured on multiple media outlets, including Fox News, ABC, CBS, Yahoo! News, Newsweek, and the Sun. He is particularly interested in the intersection of mental health, popular culture, and innovation.
