Dr. Philip Stieg is a highly accomplished neurosurgeon based in New York, NY, with subspecialties in brain and spinal tumors, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, and skull base surgery. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983. Dr. Stieg has served as the Department Chair at New York-Presbyterian Hospital since 2001 and holds a professorship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His past roles include appointments at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University Health Service, and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Stieg has extensive experience with conditions such as trigeminal neuralgia, glioblastoma, and cerebrovascular disorders. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and he has contributed to clinical trials.
