  • Dr. Robert Tomlinson is a native of Los Angeles, graduating in Biochemistry at Occidental College before studying exercise physiology at Hahneman University in Philadelphia. He received his Doctorate degree in Medicine at Tulane University in 1986 and then attended residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Tulane, becoming Chief Orthopedic Surgeon at the famous Charity Hospital. As part of the Tulane orthopedic program, he mentored under the tutelage of Dr. Jack Hughston, the founder of sports medicine and the definitive expert on knee injuires. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Cliinic in Los Angeles working with world famous orthopedic surgeon and shoulder pioneer Dr. Frank Jobe.
    In Los Angeles, Dr. Tomlinson provided orthopedic care for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lakers, Kings, Rams, Angels, and the University of Southern California Trojans. He then joined the Southern California Orthopedic Institute as a private practioner and lecturer, treating the whos who of hollywood actors and providing care for the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in Woodland Hills.
    In 1993 he relocated to northwest Arkansas, working with the University of Arkansas Womens Athletic Department treating regional, national, and Olympic gold medal winning athletes. He was then selected to participated in a worldwide clinical trial performing a revolutionary chondral transplant procedure proprietized by Zimmer Corporation, Warsaw IN. Additionally, he was chosen as a regional provider for workmans compensation injuries for Walmart Corporation for his efficiency/best practice techniques for maximum employee/employer benefit.
    He is the author of numerous national research publications and has given both national and international lectures on knee and shoulder injuries.
    Dr. Tomlinson is the inventor and founder of ReadySplints LLC, an innovative first aid splinting technology for surgeon and layperson alike.
    He currently resides in Fayetteville Arkansas.
