She is an invited national speaker and radio/podcast/webinar guest for topics including trauma informed care, gender based violence, human trafficking, and menopause/female sexual medicine.

    Dr. Kurtzer has been recognized with several honors, including Menopause Practitioner of the Year from NAMS in 2019, the Victoria J Mastrobuono Award in Women’s Health from the National Organization for Women in 2021, the Volunteer Physician of the year from the Illinois State Medical Society in 2024, the Lila B Wallis Award in Women’s Health from the American Medical Women’s Association in 2024, and the WEAVE (Working to End Abuse and Violence Effectively) Award in 2024 from the CAWC in Chicago which serves survivors of domestic violence.

    She served on the board and in her last year as President of the Chicago Gynecological Society from 2012-2016, as Co-Chair of the Cook County Human Trafficking Taskforce Healthcare committee from 2022-23, and as President of Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (AMWA-PATH) from 2022-2024. She is a Fellow with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
