Summary
- As Associate Director of the Train New Trainers Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship and a Professor at Duke University School of Medicine, I am passionate about transforming clinical practice through education. Throughout my career, I have been involved in educational leadership at every level of medical education and remain active in organizations such as the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry. I am committed to improving clinical care for vulnerable patients and am involved in various initiatives focused on quality improvement, research, health equity, and clinician well-being support. I am also a co-Principal Investigator on a project funded by the Josiah Macy Foundation to promote nonviolent communication and civility in the healthcare workplace. With over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters to my name, my work spans topics such as medical education, evidence-based medicine, quality improvement, and health equity. As a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, I am dedicated to advancing the field and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
