Summary

  • Hello, my name is Aaron Phillips and I am a pediatric cardiologist with a special interest in fetal echocardiography.

With a little sister diagnosed at an early age with both type 1 diabetes and hypothyroidism, I have always been interested in chronic pediatric disease. In turn, one of the most personally rewarding aspects of cardiology and what primarily drew me to this specialty is the opportunity to explore complex cardiac anatomy while guiding families through the journey of living with congenital heart disease. Echocardiography in particular is critical in all parts of management- from diagnosis to surgical planning to post-operative and lifelong monitoring as we look to help patients live fully notwithstanding their illness. Moving forward in my career, I am looking to further develop a strong skill set in echocardiography to best inform not only the medical team but patients and families as well.

In my work as a pediatric cardiologist, I am committed to providing the highest standard of care for my patients and their families. I understand the emotional and physical toll that a diagnosis of congenital heart disease can take on a family, and I strive to provide compassionate and empathetic care throughout the diagnostic and treatment process.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also committed to advancing the field of pediatric cardiology through research and education. I believe that by continually improving our understanding of congenital heart defects and fetal echocardiography, we can continue to improve outcomes and provide better care for our patients.

Overall, I am passionate about using my skills and expertise as a pediatric cardiologist with a focus in fetal echocardiography to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
