Summary

  • Adam C. Kean, MD, MPH, FHRS, FACC

Dr. Kean is a pediatric cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the Riley Hospital for Children and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in 2006, followed by a residency and fellowships at the University of Michigan, focusing on Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and pediatric electrophysiology. His clinical expertise centers on diagnosing and treating children and adults with congenital heart disease with additional expertise in cardiac arrhythmias, specializing in interventional electrophysiology study - cardiac ablation procedures and implantable cardiac device placement and management. His research focuses on improved diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for children and adults with congenital heart disease with arrhythmias with a particular interest in those patients at increased risk for sudden cardiac events. The global goal is to identify patients at risk prior to symptomatic concern and ultimately treat or cure those conditions with minimal to no morbidity and mortality thus improving general welfare and quality of life. He is an adjunct Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University and serves as the medical director of Project ADAM Indiana, a program dedicated to preparing schools and the community for responding to cardiac arrest.
