  • Dr. Adam Skolnick is a cardiologist based in New York, NY, with subspecialties in echocardiography and non-invasive cardiology. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Harvard Medical
    School (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Since 2009, he has served as a cardiologist at NYU Langone Health and Bellevue Hospital and for over a decade as the associate director of the cardiology service at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Skolnick is the Director of the NYU Grossman School of Medicine Cardiology Course and Associate Director of the Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship. His expertise includes general cardiology, complex valve disease, echocardiography, atrial fibrillation, stable angina, cardiomyopathies, and geriatric cardiology.

    Dr. Skolnick is board-certified in general cardiology, internal medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American Heart Association. He is listed annually as a NY Times Super Doctor in Cardiology, a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and in New York Magazine Best Doctors. Dr. Skolnick has been featured on National Public Radio, Popular Science and in Men's Health Magazine. He served as an official reviewer of the 2014 ACC/AHA Valvular Heart Disease Guidelines and was on the 2019 Program Planning Committee of the American College of Cardiology.

    He has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journal and serves as the inaugural David and Mary Boies Associate Professor of Cardiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received the Distinguished Teacher in the Basic Sciences and the Distinguished Teacher in the Clinical Sciences Awards and in 2021 received the NYU Distinguished Teaching Award. This university-wide honor recognizes gifted teachers across all undergraduate and professional schools in the university.
