Summary

• Adeel Farooqi is a board-certified nurse practitioner with clinical experience in primary health care for pediatric/adult patients and has extensive intensive care unit nursing experience in the areas of acute care, surgical, trauma, wound care and burn. Before joining Tampa General Medical Group, Farooqi was a longtime registered nurse at Tampa General Hospital who provided direct patient care in the regional burn center along with numerous intensive care and cardiac care units. In 2014, he was the recipient of the DAISY Award, which honors nurses who provide above-and-beyond compassionate care to patients and families, after being named TGH’s Burn Unit Nurse of the Year in 2013. Farooqi began his medical career with Tampa General as a clinical nurse in the medical-surgical unit in 2011.
  
  Farooqi earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Tampa and his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida. He is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and the American Nurse Practitioner Association (AANP).
