Summary
- I am a pulmonology and critical care physician-scientist in the division of Pulmonary and Critical Medicine and the Channing Division of Network Medicine at BWH and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. My research spans three related areas – the identification of novel genes associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary hypertension, the application of machine learning to better characterize disease heterogeneity, and the development of clinical prediction tools using omics data. In conjunction with my research pursuits, I maintain an active clinical practice. I attend to the medical needs of adults afflicted with a broad range of lung and other life-threatening conditions. I also work in the electronic Intensive Care Unit (eICU) and long-term acute care hospital, expanding the reach of year-round, high-quality patient care services to a large segment of our community. Teaching and mentorship is another important aspect of my career.
