  • Akl Fahed, MD, MPH is a physician, scientist, and innovator. He completed all his clinical and research training at Mass General Hospital and Harvard Medical School where he is currently on faculty.
    He is triple-board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. His clinical practice is focused on invasive diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, including intravascular imaging, coronary physiology, and high-risk interventions, and cardiac intensive care.
    His NIH-funded research at Mass General Hospital and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard focuses on using genomics and data science to improve understanding, prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease. He has published numerous papers as lead author and in top-tier journals and received multiple awards for his work.
    He is an expert in genomics, precision medicine, digital health and innovation in healthcare and serves as genomic and precision medicine lead for the American College of Cardiology.
    As co-founder and chief medical and scientific advisor of Goodpath (a VC-backed digital health startup), Dr. Fahed helped shape a new model for delivering value-based care at scale for chronic conditions.
