- Dr. Alan Lindsay was a Pediatrician and Pediatric Endocrinologist based in Salt Lake City, UT. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University at Buffalo from 1978 to 1980, after finishing a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in 1978. He earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1975. Among his contributions to medical literature is a publication on the correlation between streptococcal Fc receptors and symptomatic pharyngitis, published in 1986. He also coauthored 18 peer reviewed articles on Diabetes and Pediatric Endocrinology. His most important contribution was heading the Utah Study which established the prevalence of growth hormone deficiency in the state which was the first such study in this country.He has also presented locally, regionally and nationally multiple time on Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology. Dr. Lindsay has been recognized as the outstanding clinical teacher at Primary Children's Hospital three times and as a Most Compassionate Doctor by the American Registry.
